Mission

Our mission is to provide a place where people from all walks of life feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated regardless of background, talent, ability, education or economic status. A place where we care about you as an individual. Where anyone can come to learn and dance to whatever level of ability they desire. To have a moral, wholesome environment where young and old alike can be comfortable and have fun. A place where lasting friendships can be made, a place where you want to bring your family & friends. We want to reach out to the community and bring the joy of dancing to everyone who wants it.

How We Came to Be By Julie Villanueva

Like so many people, I loved the dancing, but felt I would never be able to do it myself. Having always felt awkward & having 2 left feet, I was too afraid to try. But then one day, the love for the dance overcame the fear of ridicule & I started taking dance lessons. When I realized how easy it was when broken down piece by piece, I got so excited that I wanted to share it with everybody! There was no Ballroom studio in my town and many of my friends couldn't drive the long distance to the nearest dancing school. Hence Gotta Dance was born.

It has been such delight to see the pleasure, joy, self confidence, renewed romance. Watching young and old alike achieve grace & poise and just the sheer fun of it words just can't express!
But with all businesses come some challenges. I was just a student. In order to run a quality dance studio, I needed some qualified instructors. The search began! By divine appointment, I had just been introduced to a teacher who helped get things rolling. People were so glad to have a dance studio in Cleburne. We opened a second branch in Granbury
We are continuing to grow, add incredible staff, stand fast to our moral convictions and are always open to suggestions from our students.

Vision

Our vision at Gotta Dance is to enable any individual to learn to dance to the level of achievement they desire. To encourage everyone to believe in themselves and their ability. To help them to dream bigger than they dared to dream before! We will offer inter-school competitions, showcases, outside competitions, social dances & a host of other ideas.

We want to branch out and reach people all over, offering excellent instruction and fun. By the grace of God, by the end of 2008, we will have other studios and possibly begin franchising to make the Gotta Dance way available to many more. Remember, Gotta Dance is not just a studio, but a way of life.
